They replace your engine's stock air cleaner or airbox with a low-restriction K&N filter assembly that increases airflow to your engine. And as we all learned in Hot Rod 101, more air means more power--up to 19 more horsepower. Plus, the filters can be covered by up to 1/8 in. of debris before air restriction makes cleaning necessary. The kits include an air filter assembly, a plenum (where applicable), mounting hardware, and instructions.

Worth every penny. Can actually feel the initial pickup and a faster boost. Don't know about the mileage improvement, haven't calculated it yet. But seems like the time between refills has grown apart.
