A powder coated steel heat shield and polished aluminum intake tubes provide the look and performance to the vehicle. Included is a Spectre Performance High Flow washable and re-usable cotton filter, backed by a lifetime warranty. Great economical way to upgrade to a cold air intake system.Slightly better throttle response(acceleration).Absolutely no change in fuel economy,none what so ever.If you're considering the upgrade in hope for better fuel economy (like I did) you will be dissapointed.It will add a slight bit of power at acceleration.

Product is easy to insatll and works great. Easy to clean. Instructions didn't mention that the OEM base plate would not fit tho.

I received the Spectre 9900 Air Intake Kit today 6-9-10 and installed it on my '02 Chev Silverado 4x4 with ease. I just followed the instructions and it was done in about a hour, looks great on the engine and alot better looking than the stock air box, now the engine compartment is not as jammed looking, the engine sounds like it is getting better air intake, now I have to wait and see how the power and milage will be. Thank You

The Spectre 9900 Air Intake installed onto my Tahoe in less then half an hour. I was most impressed by its construction, and all the thought that went into its design (There was even a special bracket for the radiator hose clamp!!!). Not only does it install quickly, but it looks proffessional sitting under the hood. Well done Spectre!
